Legend of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga Hoole is coming to theaters late this summer.  Another Harry Potter or Chronicles of Narnia you say?  Neither.  This animated feature follows a young owl named Soren who is captivated by his father’s stories of the mythical owls of Ga Hoole.  The guardians live in a far away place called the Great Tree (clever name…) that is both mysterious in its location and unfathomable as a destination for any ordinary traveler. Soren wishes to join the ranks of these great warriors, but his elder brother mocks his fantasies and suggests more practical goals (we’ve all heard this story before…) which gets them both trapped in the lair of the Pure Ones.  Like Draco from Harry Potter, the pure bloods hate everyone else.  And so, because of their malice towards everyone and everything, they wish to bring chaos upon the other owls… but not so fast! So apparently from the trailer, Soren survives the flight to the guardians’ home and asks them to save the day.  Who wins?  We know, we know… Aside from the linear plot, the movie seems promising - visually, at least.  And no one can deny a heroic adventure!  No matter how many times we’ve seen it :)  So dust off your wizardry robes, brush up on your elvish, and grab your replica of Gandalf’s staff from the attic, because we’ve got one more epic tale coming!
